Discarded cigarette to blame for Gainsborough waste bin fire
Firefighters from Gainsborough attended a bin fire in the town.
Crews arrived at Lord Street at around 11am yesterday (Wednesday, August 23) where they found mixed waste on fire in a metal public waste bin.
The fire was extinguished using a house reel jet. The bin was severely damaged.
Firefightrers ascertained the cause of the fire was discarded smoking materials.
