Boston United target Jake Wright could be sidelined for up to six months.
The striker scored eight times in 25 appearances for the Pilgrims last season while on loan from York City, in a campaign blighted by injury.

Hide AdDespite Wright pulling up with a hamstring problem early in the National League North play-off final defeat to Altrincham, United boss Craig Elliott was hopeful of signing him permanently as he became a free agent This summer.
However, that move is in hold after the attacker received some devastating news.
“I feel really sorry for Jake, I’m his biggest fan,” Elliott told the Pilgrims’ YouTube channel.“I love the lad to bits and obviously his hamstring injury is really bad.
“He’s seen a specialist this week and it looks like he may be out for four to six months.

Hide Ad“I’m really disappointed for him and for us as obviously we were looking to sign him.
“I just hope he can get back playing because he’s a superb player who deserves a bit of luck.”
