Back on the road after the sell-out success of his month-long run at the Edinburgh Festival last year, Canadian Tom Stade brings his brand new show You’re Welcome to Lincolm Drill Hall next month.

You’re welcome is he sequel to his last highly successful show, Decisions, Decisions.

In Tom’s own words: “It’s comedy and it’s really funny and it’s a whole new show

“ People always ask that question and I’m always blown away by that.

“It’s stand-up comedy, I don’t do themes. I do funny.”

With this refreshingly straightforward approach, and completely at ease in his own skin, Tom’s simple agenda is to make his audience laugh.

With skilful interaction, Tom welcomes audiences into his world, striding the stage with his trademark rock & roll attitude and copious amounts of charm.

Originally from British Columbia, Tom is now a full time resident of the UK.

Like most things that have happened in his life so far; the move happened by complete fluke.

He arrived with no plan, and never left ‘because things are way better here than they are in Canada’.

Bestowed with an easy-going nature and an appetite for adventure, Tom approaches life with a carefree and positive attitude and never looking too far ahead.

After a decade on UK shores, Tom now considers himself truly ‘one of us’.

In the show, he playfully explores his escalating Britishness, finding a rich source of material in the differences between the UK and his homeland, citing everything from crossing the road (jay-walking in his native Canada) to the daytime TV shows he has become so fascinated by.

Fans of previous shows will be pleased to hear that Tom continues to embrace his crazy and unconventional life; to hilarious effect.

With complete candour, he gleefully revels in his own shortcomings and inadequacies, playfully subverting his reckless image, and proving we’re all equally fallible.

Lincoln audiences can expect flair, uncompromising humour, insatiable mischief and heaps of inspired audience interaction.

A natural on camera, Tom Stade’s effortless charm has translated perfectly onto the small screen, and he’s appeared on every major stand-up show in the UK.

He’s delivered two storming sets on Live at the Apollo, and has also performed on The John Bishop Show, Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow, Lee Mack’s All Star Cast, Dave’s One Night Stand and Channel 4’s Comedy Gala and Boyle Variety Performance.

He is co-writer of Frankie Boyle’s Tramadol Nights, and has his own online sitcom with Daniel Sloss’ intriguingly entitled M.U.F.F.

A master of his craft, his standing on the global comedy scene continues to rise.

He is at Lincoln Drill Hall on April 17 at 8pm.
