Reef are back on tour in the UK this month and will be coming to The Plug in Sheffield as part of the run.
And we have a pair of tickets to give away for their Sheffield show on March 19.
Since the arrival of Jesse Wood on guitar in 2014, critics say Reef are sounding stronger than ever.
They have released a new live album, mixing a set of inspired new songs with all the loved classics, including place Your Hands and Come Back Brighter and a new single for new year, a cover of the Aretha Franklin gospel classic How I Got Over, all with legendary producer George Drakoulias at the controls, simultaneously recapturing and updating the sound of their classic multi-million selling number one Glow album.
Glow is one of three top-10 albums the band have had.
Their debut effort, Replenish in 1995, reached number nine in the Uk, followed by the chart-topping Glow in 1997.
The follow to Glow, Rides, was released in 1999, reached number three in the UK charts before their fourth album, Getaway, released in 2000, made number 15 before the band took their career in a new direction.
Now they are back and are already gaining huge interest in their upcoming UK tour.
They’ve been back on TFI Friday on Channel 4, and on BBC1 on The One Show on their Story Of The Song section where the band revisit, re-play and tell the full story behind Place Your Hands.
Tickets for their Sheffield gig are £17.50 and are available now on 0114 241 3040 or www.the-plug.com
However, we have a pair of tickets to give away to the reader who can answer the following question: Which of these is the title of a best-selling Reef album? a) Glow, b) Bright or c) Burn?
Email the answer, putting Reef tickets competition in the status bar to email@example.com
Entries close on Wednesday, March 16 and tickets will be collected from the box office at the venue on the night.
Normal rules apply and the editor’s decision is final.
