The unique live experience that is The Red Hot Chilli Pipers comes to Lincoln Drill Hall this week.

Their has never been anything quite like The Red Hot Chilli Pipers.

First coming to people’s attention with a cameo appearance at T in the Park in 2004 with the Darkness, they opened the main stage in their own right in 2014, having, in 10 years, become the most famous bagpipe band on the planet.

The Pipers are all about bagpipes with attitude, drums with a Scottish accent and a show that carries its own health warning.

The band’s achievements have reached incredible heights with their groundbreaking fusion of traditional Scottish music and rock and pop anthems which they call ‘Bagrock’.

The Chillis have never been more in demand for their infectious style of feel good music which appeals right across the age range to people all over the world.

They have collected together an impressive group of musicians from Scotland and further afield, many holding World Championship titles and all seriously good players with impressive credentials and qualifications.

In November 2014, The Chillis released a new live DVD and CD entitled Live at the Lake, their most adventurous project to date, bringing 16 musicians and dancers across the Atlantic to perform at Milwaukee Irish Fest, the American spiritual home of the band.

Tracks include Insomnia, Gimme All Your Lovin’, Thunderstruck, Everybody Dance Now, Amazing Grace, Fix You, Chasing Cars, Wake Me Up , Don’t Stop Believin and We Will Rock You from Queen.

Over the last decade. the band has won a gold disc for more than 100,000 UK sales of their first album Backrock to the Masses, while their album and DVD Blast Live ahs achieved triple platinum status.

They won the BBC show When Will I Be Famous? which was presented by Graham Norton.

They have twice been named as the Best Live Act in Scotland and their cover of the Avici track Wake Me Up has beein had more than 2.5 million views on YouTube.

The band has played sell-out gigs and tours in USA, China, Australia, Germany, Switzerland, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, New Zealand and France

They have performed at major international events, including BBC Proms in Hyde Park, T in the Park, Wacken Open Air, The Rugby World Cup and the Bahrain Grand Prix and have played for many A-list stars and Royalty such as Ewan McGregor, Paul McCartney, Sir Alex Ferguson, Gary Player, The Scottish Rugby Team, Her Majesty the Queen and Samuel L Jackson.

They have also amassed more than 250,000 Facebook followers.
