AWARD-WINNING comedy is coming to town courtesy of Trinity Arts Centre’s Hoot Comedy Club.

Anthony J Brown will be bringing his dark and lyrical brand of stand-up comedy to Gainsborough next week.

Winner of the Jongleurs Stand and Deliver Comedy Award Winner 2003, Anthony has also appeared on Channel 4’s Phoenix Nights, ITV’s Attitude and Spanking New on BBC7.

Comedy magazine chortle.co.uk said of his act: “The audience probably have time to nip to the bar and back between the feedline and the punch.”

“That they generally don’t is testament to just how well it works in Brown’s hands, for few would want to miss the next gem to ooze languidly from his lips.”

Meanwhile, City Life magazine cdescribed him as ‘a strange, lizard-like creature and polished surrealist’ and Metro dubbed him as ‘Jarvis Cocker with a death in the family’.

Anthony J Brown will be appearing at The Hoot Comedy Club at Gainsborough’s Trinity Arts Centre on Thursday 10th Februaryat 8pm.
