GAINSBOROUGH was rocked by local talent as the town’s finest bands descended on The Liberal Club writes Lou Baker.
Local headliners These Blue Skies gave the American band Remember Paris a warm welcome at Liberal in Gainsborough.
Other local bands, We Were Infinite, They Say Fall, We’ll Sleep ‘Til Sunset and StereoEpic all from Gainsborough, gave a night to remember for both the audience and Remember Paris.
We Were Infinite brought something totally different to the stage which the crowd instantly loved while They Say Fall pulled in the audience with an exciting, fresh and upbeat set.
We’ll Sleep ‘Til Sunset created a fun and energetic atmosphere with their pop-punk sound and StereoEpic performed an amazing acoustic set which kept the audience on their toes and singing along.
The support acts gave it their all and truly showed how good the local music scene really is before headliners These Blue Skies persisted with the high standard, and finished the night off with an incredible set.
Bassist Alex Hebblewhite from These Blue Skies said : “We don’t get a chance to play in Gainsborough that much so it was nice to come back. Everyone in the crowd was awesome, one of the best reactions we’ve ever had, and all the other bands were quality.”
Remember Paris performed a thrilling acoustic set with some intense vocals from vocalist Ryan Diskey.
Stereoepic, We Sleep ‘Til Sunset and These Blue Skies are among the acts playing at the Gainsborough Riverside Festival on Saturday 11th June.
