Christmas is on the horizon and the start of pantomime season up and down the country is a sure sign that the festive starting gun has been well and truly fired.
And they’re no different at Lincoln Theatre Royal where this year’s spectacular show, Sleeping Beauty, gets underway next week
This year sees a brand new re-telling of the classic story – but with all the usual panto fun laughter and mayhem all kept in as ever.
Heading the cast will be Vicki Michelle, star of the classic BBC comedy ‘Allo, ‘Allo as the wicked fairy, Maleficent.
She is joined by Emmerdale’s Peter Amory as the King and comedian, magician and all-round entertainer, Martin Daniels as the Jester.
Veteran panto star, Steve Barclay returns as the Dame, while Lincoln’s own West End star Aston Dobson is Prince Charming.
Lucy Lavelle is Sleeping Beauty herself, Princess Aurora , while another Lincoln local, Emily Childs plays the Fairy.
Once again, the cast are joined by dancers from the Janet Aston School of Dance.
Ian Dickens directs the piece with choreography by Stuart Glover.
Toby Kennedy is musical director.
This year’s spectacular family pantomime will be, as ever, lots of fun and fast-paced, packed full of stunning sets, fabulous effects and gorgeous costumes,” said a Theatre Royal spokesman.
