This year marks the centenary of the birth of one of the greatest ever jazz and blues singers, Billie Holliday.
And to celebrate, the Drill Hall in Lincoln is staging a critically-acclaimed tribute show, Lady Sings the Blues.
This two-hour concert features British Jazz Award winning singer Val Wiseman, and includes some 30 songs from Billie’s repertoire, including many that are all too frequently ignored.
The songs are presented chronologically through the years and many feature the original arrangements.
The show is on Saturday, October 17 at 8pm.
Tickets are £16, £14, £9 and £8 on 01522 873894 or www.lincolndrillhall.com
