The authoritative Beatles live concert show The Story of The Beatles, featuring Beatlemania, is coming to Grimsby Auditorium this autumn.
In 1963, the single Please Please Me went to number one.
It saw John, Paul, George and Ringo crowned chart-toppers for the first time.
And it announced the arrival of a band that was to become the biggest-selling recording artists in the world.
During the Sixties, the Fab Four’s live shows saw fan hysteria never seen before or since – leading to the coining of the phrase ‘Beatlemania’.
The show promises to transport music fans from The Beatles’ mop-top roots to the psychedelia of Sgt Pepper and beyond, from Love Me Do to Let It Be.
The Beatlemania show is a two-hour spectacular featuring superb costumes and a cast of skilled musicians and singers,
It authentically recreates the live concert shows of John, Paul, George and Ringo that generated those famous fans scenes.
The production has been on a UK-wide tour and visits towns and even, in some cases, venues that presented The Beatles themselves during the early Sixties.
The show retraces The Beatles infamous live shows and offers an insight into Beatlemania at its height.
The greatest band in the world, ever, the cast choose from a set list comprising of more than 50 million-selling hits for each show.
Who could have imagined just what was to come when the world was introduced to The Beatles in 1960?
Transferring their incredible live shows from residencies in Hamburg to the now-famous Cavern Club in Liverpool, they were eventually discovered by Brian Epstein and signed by George Martin.
The rest is the most important chapter of pop music history and their influence remain omnipresent to this day, most notably through bands like Oasis and artists like Noel Gallagher.
The cast have performed for David and Victoria Beckham, Sir Richard Branson, Madonna and Guy Ritchie, Tiger Woods, Wayne Rooney, Gordon Ramsey and numerous TV and soap stars.
They have appeared alongside The Merseybeats, The Searchers, The Hollies, The Bay City Rollers, Madness, Boy George, Kula Shaker, Blue, Snow Patrol, Coldplay and Girls Aloud.
They have performed in virtually every country in Europe including France, Germany, Italy, Holland and Norway, and have also toured Russia, USA, the Caribbean, China and the Middle East.
