South Yorkshire’s very own king of swing John Naylor is heading into the country for a gig at an intimate local venue in Letwell.
Acclaimed vocalist John has been wowing audiences with his band The Dizzy Club for more 20 years.
Mixing Latin rhythms with elements of 1940s swing, hot club, blue note, Sinatra and soul, the band were founded back in 1994 when John got together with violin and guitar player Patrick Walker at Fagan’s famous music venue in Sheffield.
The line up now boasts Mike Fleming on vocals and double bass, and Caroline Boaden – who has performed with Take That – on drums.
The Dizzies, who have had a busy summer featuring high-profile appearances at Sheffield’s Tramline festival and Music in the Gardens, are appearing at Letwell Village Hall tomorrow night (Saturday) at 8pm.
Tickets, priced £12, are available from Martyn and Andy on 01909 731626 or 01909 540694.
