Doncaster’s Street Beat Elite perform at Yorkshire annual showcase

On Saturday April 1, Leeds’ West Yorkshire Playhouse will be bursting with talented teenagers as over 300 of Yorkshire’s young choreographers and dancers come together to perform.

Street Beat Elite, Doncaster’s finest, are set to perform at FRESH FRINGE, for which tickets have already sold out.

The companies performing at Fresh 2017 were selected by an independent panel of dance experts at smaller regional showcases around Yorkshire earlier this year, and from film submissions sent to Yorkshire Dance. This year 50 companies competed for the coveted performance slots at Fresh – the highest number of submissions received in the eight-year history of Fresh.

Groups performing on the main stage are:

LWHS Dance Company; Phoenix Youth Academy Seniors; Me2 Inclusive Youth Dance Company; Mechanics Performing Arts; DAZL Senior Dance Company; McKeown Irish Dance Academy; Explosive; Shahck Out Youth Dance; Momentum Dance; High Storrs Dance Company; Hull Dance Youth Company; Streetkingz

Performing alongside Street Beat Elite at FRESH FRINGE are:

CAPA Juniors; Wath Boys Break Crew; Hype Dance Academy Tappers; The Space Dance Studio; Metamorphosis Youth Dance Company; East Riding Youth Dance County Company; Dance United Yorkshire Performance Company

FRESH is part of U.Dance, a national celebration of performance by young people. An independent selection panel will choose two groups from FRESH to represent Yorkshire at U.Dance 2017 at Birmingham Hippodrome in July.
