A local personal trainer will flex his muscles on a national stage later this week, competing in British bodybuilding finals.
The event is run by the Natural Physique Association, and Paul Cooke, who works at DW Sports at Marshalls Yard in Gainsborough, recently the Mike Williams Classic title for novice heavyweights.
Cooke is in now preparing for the British Finals on 19th October.
He believes that competing in the sport shows his clients a positive example.
He said: “Winning the heavyweight title has left me elated. It has made all the hard work in the gym and strictness in the kitchen worthwhile.”
“I love to set myself personal goals that keep me motivated, whilst also leading by example in my work.”
The bodybuilder has worked at the Gainsborough gym since 2010 and loves his day job.
He said: “I like to work with a range of clients from competing bodybuilders, like myself, to people just starting out in the gym.”
