Worksop Harriers’ dedicated women only running group has celebrated its 10th anniversary, with a group run to the top of Shireoaks Pit Top.

The Sisters on Sunday were founded in 2003 by Karen Bestwick and Tracey West, who identified the need for a friendly group to help women take up running.

West explained: “Our philosophy today is still the same and we cater for women of all running abilities, including the complete beginner.”

“Our sessions are varied and we aim to have fun as well as to help women train towards their specific goals.”

The group meets every Sunday at Valley Sports Centre and offers varying sessions for all fitness levels, with qualified instructors.
