Trent Valley Road Club hosted the latest round of Gainsborough’s combined club time trials.
Riders, in pairs, raced on a 10 mile course starting on Laughton Lane and finishing on Carr Lane.
Viking Velo duo of Andy Lewin and Julian Hesp trounced all opposition with a mighty ride, finishing in 22.06, well ahead of Trent Valley’s Andy Codd and Paul Brownless who clocked the second fastest time of 23.30.

Meanwhile, the second round of Trent Valley’s circuit race series, held on the Lincolnshire showground in conjunction with Lincoln Wheelers, saw Paul Pycroft close the gap on current leader Michael Adlington, when he out sprinted him to take second in the scratch race.
Pycroft is now five points behind.
