Twenty turn out for Trent Valley club ride

Trent Valley Road Club’s weekly club ride proved popular again this weekend, with 20 members taking part in a 34-mile jaunt.

Riders went through Sturton, over Dunham Bridge and then through Laneham and Treswell before arriving at the Dovecote Cafe in Misterton for coffee and cake.

The sun also made a welcome appearance for the first time in several months.

Sunday 24th February plays host to the final ride in the reliability trial league and the club is encouraging as many members as possible to take part.

The format for reliability trials is different to standard time trials and road racing.

The race organiser chooses a set route in the normal way but before leaving the start line each rider must choose a specific time band.

If the rider selects time band “A” but crosses the finish line in time band “B, C, D or E” they forfeit any points.
