Striders tackle parkruns in Gainsborough, Bridlington, Clumber Park, Lanhydrock and Conwy

In Saturday’s Gainsborough parkrun, the first male and female finishers were Ronnie McWilliam and his daughter Sheridan.

This was the fourth first place finish by Ronnie, a GB triathlete, while Sheridan’s time of 21:39 was the fastest ever for the course by a lady.

Further down the field Hannah Holmes and Jade Brown both finished in personal best times.

Other Strider runners were Mat Huteson, second for the fourth time,Nigel Bowler, Stephen Toward, Dale Swinton, Archie Proctor and his mother Joanne.

At Bridlington Sara Kelsey sliced over 80 seconds off her personal best as she finished in 38:01. Her son Chezney finished in 33:28.

Marcus Joy and Thomas Stubbs took on the Clumber Park course where they had times of 23:19 and 33:55 respectively.

Rachel Haldenby’s trip to the Lanhydrock saw her achieve a 36:57 time whilst Anthony Myles ventured to Wales for a 29:07 finish at Conwy.

The next Junior training session will take place at the Trent Valley Academy, starting at 5.30pm.

The next Thursday evening senior training session will start from Queen Elizabeth High School at 6.30pm.

The Tuesday evening session will start at DW Sport in Marshall’s Yard at 7.15pm.
