Lee Westwood is back on European soil for this weekend’s Turkish Airlines Open, the penultimate European Tour event before the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai.
The 40-year-old Worksop man, who now resides in Florida, is in action at The Montgomeria Maxx Royal, still without a victory in 2013.
His trip to Turkey follows last week’s HSBC Champions event, the final World Golf Championship tournament of the year.
Westwood was unable to match the success he tasted last year at Mission Hills, where he finished sixth.
This year, at Sheshan International Golf Club, Shanghai, Westwood finished tied for 55th place on the leaderboard.
In the first two rounds, alongside Ernie Els and Graham Delaet, he shot a 71 and a 73, one under and one over par respectively.
The third round was much better for the Worksop Golf Club export, as he carded a 68, including seven birdies, moving back up to 28th.
But a three over 75 finished his weekend in a disappointing fashion.
