It’s all change at the top of the Gainsborough combined clubs time trial league, after the latest 8.3 mile event.
Steve Grocock of Lincsquad, who has held top spot since the start of the season, was finally beaten by Viking Velo’s in form Andy Lewin.
Lewin clocked an impressive 19:07, to pip Grocock’s 19:14.
Trent Valley’s Paul Brownless also showed improved form when he closed to within three seconds of the club’s current fastest rider Andy Codd.

Trent Valley riders Andy Codd and Paul Brownless clashed last weekend in the Sheffrec 25mile time trialon on the Hatfield-Crowle course.
In windy conditions Brownless had the upper hand, finishing in 1:03:08, with Codd recording 1:03:16.
The club’s Alan Huntley put in a good ride in Lincolnshire’s 10 mile time trial Championship clocking 23:08.
Rob Brooks completed a 400km audax ride from Manchester to Holyhead and back, and Steve Walker completed his 400km audax ride from Alfreton to North York Moors and back, in just under 14 hours. Both are attempting to qualify for August’s Paris-Brest-Paris 1200km audax.
