Jacklin joins best darts players in world

The queen of West Lindsey darts, Paula Jacklin, from Willingham, will be one of the stars on show at the British Darts Organisation's World Trophy event next week.

The second biggest competition run by the BDO, the World Trophy, to be held at the prestigious Preston Guildhall from Wednesday, May 30 to Sunday, June 3, attracts the top 16 ladies and top 32 men, who chase £50,000 in prize money.

Jacklin, who is ranked number 11 in the world, has been drawn against Lorraine Winstanley, who is ranked three, in a tie on Thursday, May 31 (10 pm) that is set to be televised on the new channel, FreeSports. She will be taking an army of fans to Preston for the big game. Tickets can still be booked.

Lincolnshire will also be represented by ten-times world champion Trina Gulliver.
