Hardy riders battle gale-force winds

Trevor Halstead and George Carnall chose the 55 mile ride, in category C (5 hours).

Halstead’s time was 4 hours 21 minutes, with Carnall finishing in in 4 hours 41 minutes.

Dave Chaffey and Geoff Garner chose 35 miles in category B (3 hours 10 minutes).

Carner completed the ride in 2 hours 41 minutes, and Chaffey in 2 hours 49 minutes.
