Gainsborough Aegir Cycling Club held the third round of their Speed Judging competition on Sunday, with riders facing a strong south westerly wind.
Entrants departed from Roseway, riding to the starting point of the 4.4 mile circuit at Padmoor Lane, Knaith Park.
All cycle computers and watches including mobile phones were handed in to the time keeper.
The cyclists then chose their times and distances and were set off at minute intervals by time keeper Daniel Nicholson.
Pete Hanks took first place and six points after choosing three laps in 58 minutes 30 seconds and finishing in 58 minutes.
Trevor Halstead chose four laps in 76 minutes, and his time was 77 minutes 40 seconds.
In third came Mark Clarke who chose three laps in 80 minutes, and finished in 84 minutes 21 seconds.
Dave Walker was 7:10 faster than his predicted time, while Dave Day was 7:20 faster than the time he chose, the duo taking fourth and fifth respectively.
Sixth spot went to Dave Chaffey, who chose three laps in 60 minutes and finished in 68:20.
The overall standings are as follows: Daniel Nicholson 12 points, Peter Hanks 11 points, Trevor Halstead 10.5 points, Dave Day 9 points, Mark Clark 6 points, Dave Chaffey 6 points, Dave Walker 4 points, Colin Smith 2.5 points.
On Sunday (18th) the club will host several rides, tailored the the abilities of both members and new riders.
