Gainsborough duathlete Amy Grocock returned to the scene of one of her finest 2014 triumphs and won her age category.
Grocock was in action at the Stockton Duathlon, taking on a 10k run, 40k cycle and 5k run.
It was the first duathlon she ever competed in, last year, where she gained qualification for the World Championships.
Evidence of how competitive the field was came in the second place finish for last year’s World Championship runner-up, while Grocock settled for 10th fastest over all.
Winning her age category would have gained her a qualification slot for this year’s World Championships, had she not already booked her place, but the West Lindsey Leisure Centre trainer did manage to knock two minutes off last year’s Stockton finish time.
