Keeping sporting success very much in the family is talented teenage rugby prospect Dylan Hodgson, from Gainsborough.
For only weeks after his older brother, Jack, was selected to represent Team GB in judo at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil later this year, Dylan has been given a prestigious call-up too.
After a trial match, he was selected by coaches for the squad to play for the Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire (NLD) U16/U17 representative team.
Training sessions at Newark RUFC were to be followed by matches against Leicestershire U17s, scheduled for this week, and against Cheshire U17s on Sunday, March 13. More recognition could be coming Dylan’s way because the NLD squad is viewed as the pathway to selection for the Midlands representative team and ultimately England U18s.
