Marshalls beaten by five wickets, Lea Park victious

SATURDAY was a day of mixed results for the local cricket sides.

In the Bassetlaw Championship Marshalls were beaten by five wickets by Anston at Middlefield Lane.

The Gainsborough men made 181 for 5, with captain Paul Van den Heuval making 58 unbeaten runs.

But Anston reached the required total for the loss of five runs.

In Division Two, Lea Park beat Teversal by four wickets, after skittling the opposition for 183, and making 186 for 6 themselves.
