Trinity kids cruise to Trophy final berth

Gainsborough Trinity Under 15s cruised into the Divisional Trophy final with a 6-1 win over Bottesford Falcons.

The hosts went in front in the opening minute when Tom Williams held off a defender to produce a smart finish.

Trinity doubled their lead when Daniel Krakow found the net from close range.

And it was 3-0 in the opening 15 minutes when Daniel Goble was fouled in the area and Adam Bush converted the penalty.

Before half-time Trinity got their fourth when they were awarded another penalty, this time Ben Turver was pulled back and he himself stepped up to score.

Bottesford got on the score sheet to make it 4-1.

In the second half neither team creating much.

But Keatan Gale found space inside the area to smash the ball in from 10 yards, then Williams rounded off the scoring when he got his second.

This Sunday Trinity play Bottesford Town in the Divisional Trophy final at Brigg Town’s ground at 5.30pm.
