Tigers left-back Phil Roe should be fit in time for the start of the season, according to his manager.
The youngster was feared to have broken his ankle in Tuesday’s match at Carlton, but scans revealed no more than severe bruising and swelling.
Mark Shaw said: “He limped off with what could have been a broken ankle.”
“He cleared the ball and caught the back of someone’s outstretched boot.”
“But he’s a quick healer a“ we think I won’t miss the FC United of Manchester game, so that’s a plus.”
