Gainsborough Trinity stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a goalless draw at Witton Albion.

The Holy Blues sit fifth in the Evo-Stik Northern Premier League and continue to boast a mean defensive record.

In league action Lee Sinnott’s men have conceded just six goals.

They’re four points behind leaders South Shields, but with a game in hand.

Today, in front of 241 at Witton, they and Witton played out a scrappy affair with little in the way of clear cut chances.

Trinity return to action on Tuesday, at Gresley in the League Cup.
