Gainsborough Trinity Under 15s’ first appearance in a divisional cup final ended in a 4-0 defeat by Bottesford Town.

Things might have been different had they taken the lead, Tom Williams bursting into the area only to find his shot superbly saved.

Trinity found themselves 3-0 down at the break, and almost hit back through Keatan Gale, but once again the goalkeeper foiled Gainsborough, and Bottesford added a fourth.

Trinity are back in league action this Sunday when they make the trip to Park Tigers.
