With the League Management Committee giving all teams the option of a two-week break over the Christmas and New Year period only six games were in the schedule on Sunday.

One game was played in Division One, four in Division Two and just one in the third Division.

The only game in Division One saw title hunting BRSA completely outplay Elkesley FC as they won 10-1.

This leaves B R S A with six wins and a draw from seven games and keeps them in hot pursuit of the 100 per cent record leaders White Horse F C.

The two fixtures between these teams next year look certain to be very crucial to the outcome of the top division.

Mattersey FC also have the look of a team with a say in the title race and an exciting secnd half to the season looks in prospect.

In Division Two it is Rose & Crown FC who are setting the pace and a 5-0 defeat of fourth-placed Maltings Meercats was the latest of a series of very impressive performances and they will be the team to beat in this Division.

Their main challengers look like being B FC Clumber who after a 3-0 defeat of Misterton United sit handily in the table with eight wins from nine games their only defeat coming in their first game.

The game against Misterton was never an easy win as Misterton made them work very hard for the points but confidence is quite high in the B FC Clumber camp at present and they were good value for this win.

Notts Diagonals, who on their day can give any team in this Division a tough game showed why they are a danger to any team with a 5-1 defeat of Tuxford Working Men’s Club, who have showed excellent recent form.

East Markham recorded their first League win of the season with a narrow 4-3 victory over Hallcroft F C who are nothing if inconsistent.

The game was a real end-to-end affair, which could have gone either way before East Markham made it a good start to Christmas for the players and officials. In Division Three, the only game of the day between Ship Inn Morton and Walkeringham FC finished all square at 2-2, a fair result on the day.

There are no fixtures this coming Sunday and the League will resume on 5th January 2015.
