Blues Club lose out to league title rivals

Top billing in the Lincoln Saturday Football League was given to the game between reigning champions The Blues Club, and title rivals RM Imp.

The champions, playing their first away game of the season, had already dropped two points while RM Imp were one of the sides with a 100 per cent record.

With goals from leading scorer Joe Ayres, Lee Beesley and Jordan Taylor, RM Imp ran out 3-1 winners.

Joey Owen scored for The Blues Club, who saw RM Imp climb above them in the table, to equal top.

Above them, on goal difference, are Birchwood Utd who recorded their third successive win since returning to the league, at Fulbeck United.

The Blues Club host Crown and Arrows on 4th October.
