War time memories

Can anyone help? In the Summer of 1943, I spent some time in a house in Gainsborough when I was two and a half years old.

I would love to track this house down but all I can really remember are the names of two horses Polly and Mary.

I think the house may have been in the Corringham Road area over from REME Camp where my father was stationed during World War Two.

From vague memory, I think our hosts were Quakers maybe just because they wore old fashioned clothes even for then. The couple seemed elderly but a child cannot really judge age. I remember though that they had a daughter, the mother of several children whom the lady took us to meet in Gainsborough town centre.

I have been on the search for five years now, perhaps some of your readers could ask about or suss something out.
