If you missed out on Discover Lincolnshire Weekend, there’s now a second chance to explore Gainsborough Old Hall for free.
As a 12-week project to restore the 500-year-old hall’s roof continues, the upper rooms and kitchen need to be closed to the public.
Network manager Mike Cavanagh said: ““This is an opportunity to visit, or even re-visit, this historical gem – and to do so free of charge. Although certain areas will be closed, you’ll still be able to see the Great Hall and by doing so, you’ll be following in the footsteps of some of its illustrious royal visitors, such Richard III and Henry VIII.
The hall is open 10am-5pm Monday and 11am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
