“The Village People” raise cash at Belton’s Crown Inn

It was fun to stay at The Crown Inn in Belton recently when a fundraiser in aid of Prostate Cancer Research was held.

Pub regulars Shaun, Mark, Hoppy, John, James and Dave entertained the crowds with their unique performance of YMCA, which was made extra special as they dressed up as The Village People (main picture).

Josh Knibb (inset) helped to put more cash in the kitty by being brave enough to have his ginger hair being dyed blonde by hairdresser Kat Dennis.

The evening, which also included a disco and karaoke, plus a visit by Mr and Mrs Pickwick’s pop-up pizza van, raised a total of £641.50.

Landlady Lynn Green thanked everyone who went along and got involved and for helping to raise so much money for such a worthy cause.
