PUPILS, staff and teachers from both past and present attended an afternoon tea party at Hemswell Cliff Primary School to mark the school’s 50th anniversary.
Patricia Houtby worked at the school as a caretaker and dinner lady for over 30 years before retiring and said it was great to reminisce with so many old faces.
“We had drinks and cakes and it was so interesting and lovely to see everyone,” she said. “I’ve been retired for 10 years so I really enjoyed being back there.”
“Everybody got on really well and it was such a wonderful reunion”
Patricia said that she had always enjoyed working at a school with such a sterling reputation.
“It’s always been an outstanding school, and it’s also improved ever so much since I left,” said Patricia. “It’s a beautiful school and I’d recommend it to anybody. I loved working there and I really missed everyone when I left.”
She added: “I have such fond memories of working there and it was great to share them and catch up with everyone.”
