'Suspicious item' found at Manchester Airport 'poses no threat'

Terminal 3 at Manchester Airport was evacuated this morning after the discovery of a bag which appeared to contain a 'suspicious item'.

The airport has now confirmed the bag 'poses no threat' and apologised to passengers affected by the incident.

Yesterday afternoon, Terminal 3 at Heathrow Airport was evacuated after a fire alarm was activated.
