Successful shows at Belton set to continue

It was showtime in the Isle thanks to a generous donation recently.

Chairman of Belton Playing Field Association, Dave Ripley, received a cheque for £806 from trustee John Hayes and treasurer Don Rowing who organised two ‘Saturday at the Pavilion’ shows in April and May this year.

The first show in April, which was a sell out, was a Bee Gees tribute night, followed in May by the New Jersey Boys.

The evenings included, not only a show, but a meal and a disco, with all the profits from the licensed bar going to the playing field funds.

A spokesman said: “The events have been so successful that more are planned.”

Anyone interested in future shows should contact Don on 07984 572739 for details.
