Children from Sturton le Steeple Primary School visited Freshgro, the UK’s leading supplier of Chantenay carrots recently.
During the visit the children, aged between seven and nine, had a tour of the factory and the Chantenay production line.
Founder of the Freshgro farming co-operative, Martin Evans, organised the tour to help educate children about food.
“You read all these stories about kids not knowing where their food comes from,” he said. “So we believe it is important to play a part in educating them about how and why we grow such great carrots here.”
