Several flood warnings have been issued across the East Midlands today (January 4) after a weekend of heavy rain - with more expected.
Water levels have been rising and the Environment Agency in Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire has issued flood alerts for the River Trent, River Maun, River Erewash and Lower Derwent.
An agency spokesman said that heavy rainfall is forecast over the next 24 hours, with around ten milimetres expected.
People are being warned that flooding is possible in the areas surrounding these rivers and people should be prepared.
