A Walk Down Memory Lane
Over 80 people met in the village hall to view the slide show of Old Scotter put together by David Capes and Andrew Sheardown. David provided an informative and entertaining commentary as he showed the slides which looked back at the village in the early 20th Century when the changes to buildings and roads were highlighted. Also on display in the hall were old photographs of groups of people and help was sought to identify some of them. Refreshments were served at the end of the show when there was a chance to reminisce. The evening had been arranged by Scotter Forward and the chair of the group, Sue Mumby, thanked David and Andrew for their hard work to make the event a success and to the audience for showing their support.
The Rev Ruth Simpson will take the service on Sunday 20th September at 10.30am. This will be followed by the Church Council AGM at noon.
