A bargain book sale will be taking place in the chapel schoolroom on Saturday 11th January from 9.30-11.30am. There will be books to suit all tastes, paperbacks 30p and hardbacks 50p. Refreshments will also be available.
Alongside the book sale there will be the opportunity to contribute to a food bank, and donations will be forwarded to the Forge Project in Scunthorpe and the Salvation Army in Gainsborough. This event will be held on a monthly basis to support these two local charities.
Mrs M. Wilson will take the service on Sunday 12th January at 10.30am. The chapels, led by the Rev Ruth Simpson, have held collections for Methodist Relief and Development Fund to provide goats, and a total of £73.81 has been raised which will provide 13 goats for the charity. The Annual Covenant Service will take place on Sunday 19th January at 10.30am led by the Rev Ruth Simpson. This is a united service with the congregations of St Peter’s Church and the Grace Church. Guests at the service will include representatives from the Forge project in Scunthorpe and the Salvation Army who have both been invited to speak about the work of food banks. This is the official launch of the monthly food bank collections.
The January meeting takes place on the 12th in the chapel schoolroom from 10.15-11.45pm.
This fun and fellowship session for pre-school children and their carers takes place on Monday 13th January at 2pm in the chapel.
