Notts Police are investigating the theft of an engagement ring from a pub in Grove Street, Retford.

The ring was stolen from the Dominie Cross Pub on Saturday 5th July.

The victim placed the ring and her bag at the side of the sink in the ladies toilets while she washed her hands. She became distracted and walked away.

When she returned a short time later her bag was still there but the ring had gone.

The size of the ring means it could not have fallen down the sink.

It is described as a 1.2 carat diamond solitaire ring with a plain hallmarked platinum band. The stone is presented on a six-pronged setting presented high within the ring.

Any information could help the investigation, please call police on 101.
