There are only a few days to go to grab your tickets for this weekend’s Retford Fake Festival.

Retford Rugby Club will transform into a music festival site on Saturday 6th July with a huge marquee, main stage and an outside area with food and entertainment stalls.

“We can’t wait to return to Retford as last year was such a buzz,” says Jez Lee, owner of Fake Festivals.

“This year we have a great line up for Retford Fake Festival, including our tribute to Kasabian who are just phenomenal.”

“It’s also a special day for us as we’re paying tribute to Retford soldier Josh Brown, who was tragically killed at the end of last year. Josh was the nephew of our stage manager, and a regular to Fake Festivals.”

“Our stage manager was actually working with our Colplay tribute band when she found out the devastating news, and the Four Fighters played an acoustic set at his funeral, so we wanted to be able to pay tribute to Josh, so there will be some special songs on the day for him, and we want all his friends to be there to help us remember him.”

The three main tribute acts to Coldplay, Foo Fighters and Kasabian will be supported by local bands including Vinegar Strokes, Stolen Fridays, The Torn, Gaucho and North Road.

Tickets are still available for Retford Fake Festival either from the website or various regional outlets.
