Police say spate of village burglaries ‘are linked’

a SPATE of burglaries in villages around Gainsborough has seen police urge residents to be vigilant as they believe the incidents are linked.

Houses in Trent Port Road, Marton, East Lane, Corringham, South Drive, Stow, Gainsborough Road, Willingham-by-Stow have all been recently targeted.

Property including a 42 inch TV, X-Box games and a charity box containing a small amount of cash have been taken.

Police are linking these incidents and say investigations are ongoing.

Extra officers will be patrolling the villages and residents are being asked to reduce their chances of becoming a victim by locking their ground-floor doors and windows at night.

Lincolnshire Police are appealing for anyone with information regarding these burglaries to call them on 0300 111 0300.
