The new system will result in improved performance, reduced system downtime and an improved customer interface. It will make sure customers can access the service and bid for the housing they need.

And the new system is being launched in time for the introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Act, ensuring the council is both compliant and competent in supporting the most vulnerable people in our community to be appropriately housed.

Housing Champion at West Lindsey District Council, Coun Jessie Milne, was delighted to hear that the service was now live.

She said: “This is a brilliant new service that we are delighted to be able to offer to our residents.

“We firmly believe the new Home Choice service will be a great improvement on the system that was used before.

“Customers can access the service 24 hours a day, and experience a much more reliable service.

“The council is committed to preventing homelessness in the district, and the new system will allow our dedicated officers to deliver a higher standard service than ever before.”

The council would like to thank customers for their patience during the setting up of the new system.
