A motorcyclist has died after a collision with two other vehicles on a Laughterton road.
A statement has just been issued by Lincolnshire Police about the incident which took place on Friday, October 20, shortly after 6pm.
The collision on Newark Road involved a motorcycle, a small car and a tractor towing a trailer.
The road will remain closed until Monday at the earliest.
Police have said the family of the motorcyclist have been informed but they are awaiting formal identification.
A spokesman from Lincolnshire Police said: “A motorcyclist has died following a collision on Newark Road at Laughterton.
“The collision happened last evening, Friday, October 20, at around 6.19 pm.
“Three vehicles are involved, a Suzuki motorcycle, a silver VW Golf and a tractor towing a trailer.
“The motorcycle and VW Gold were travelling from Newton on Trent towards Laughterton, the tractor was being driven from Laughterton towards Newton on Trent.
“The road will remain closed for safety reasons.
“Lincolnshire County Council Highways department have indicated that on Monday remedial repairs will be scheduled as a matter of priority.”
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision or the vehicles travelling on the A1133 near Laughterton shortly before.
