Misterton Primary School is looking for a midday supervisor to join the team. The successful applicant will supervise children while they have their lunch and encourage good-quality play and behaviour on the playground. The successful applicant will be a caring and responsible adult, who is cheerful and approachable. The school is committed to safeguarding children and expects all staff to share this commitment. Fire service recruiting
Misterton Fire Station currently has vacancies for up to six new recruits. In the next few weeks Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service will be launching the 2014 recruitment drive for Retained fire fighters. Retained firefighters are on-call and respond to the station in the event of an emergency. They are trained in firefighting, water rescue, first aid, and a range of other skills that ensures they can respond to emergency situations. Retained fire fighters have to be over 18 years of age and be able to respond to Misterton Fire Station within five minutes of being paged. With six vacancies, Misterton Fire Station is struggling to keep the appliance available. Getting new recruits is important to keep the local service going over the next few years.
