Met Office issue yellow weather warning for Lincolnshire thunder storms

A drastic change of weather could be on its way so say the Met Office which has issued a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms in Lincolnshire.

The warning is in force from 2pm to 11.59pm on Friday, July 20

A Met Office spokesman said: “Most places will be dry but there is the potential for slow-moving thundery downpours in places.”

The Met Office has suggested that there is a small chance homes and businesses could be flooded quickly, with damage to some buildings from floodwater, where flooding or lightning strikes occur, there is a chance of delays and some cancellations to train, bus and tube services, particularly during the evening rush hour.

It is also advising the spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions with the possibility of road closures and there is a slight chance that power cuts could occur and other services to some homes and businesses could be lost.
