Runners from across Lincolnshire are being urged to come forward to take their place for this year’s Lincoln Spring Chicken Family Fun Run and help save lives by supporting St John Ambulance.
The event takes place on 19th April and consists of a main 5km event and a 2.5km fun run around Lincoln city centre, organised by the Rotary Club of Bailgate Lincoln.
The event allows runners to raise money for local charities including, St John Ambulance, which is one of the Rotary Club’s main charity beneficiaries.
Money raised from the event will also go towards other worthy causes, including the provision of life-saving defibrillators for use by St John Ambulance volunteers in Lincolnshire.
Entry is now open and people can apply via St John Ambulance’s website at www.sja.org.uk/chickenrun where they can download entry forms.
Entry forms can also be obtained from Imp Travel at 17 Sincil Street, Lincoln, from The Lincolnshire Runner at 115C High Street, Lincoln, and from various clubs and other locations in Lincoln.
Entry fee is £10 (£5 up to age 13) and includes a free t-shirt.
