Lincs: Bluegrass with a twist from The Coal Porters

The UK’s leading alt-bluegrass outfit The Coal Porters are on tour this month and will be at Scunthorpe’s Cafe Indiependent this week.

The tour is the final one on the back of their most recent album, Find The One, which has seen their sound reaching out to new audiences.

Find The One features new songs, a campfire version of David Bowie’s Heroes and a sitar and fiddle version of The Rolling Stones’ Paint It Black.

Former Fairport Convention guitarist Richard Thompson also guests on the album.
